Purple Fever

Since my last post, I've developed a thing for purple - which I have to say has never been a favourite interior colour of mine. BUT I think if you use it right and make one aspect the purple feature it can work really well. I definitely prefer strong, deep purples to wishy-washy ones. What do you think?

For those who loved the purple sofas at La Purificada Hotel in my last blog, check out this latest creation (above and below) by Italian designer Patricia Urquiola for B&B Italia - the Bend Sofa, designed to 'give the appearance of being manually moulded from a supple material as if by a sculptor'. It looks so squishy and comfortable, I don't think you'd ever want to get up from it!

Or how about this one that cleverly wraps around a z-shaped wall?

What about purple in the bedroom? When teamed with neutrals like cream and grey, it can add just a dash or quite a lot of drama depending on your preference.

But would you want it in a kitchen?

Where do you love purple the best?
