Friday Fishin'

I wish had some riveting updates on our house build but there's really not a lot to say or show. Rain has held up the second floor slab going on and other work that's been completed (ie retaining walls, finishing the lower level brick work etc) isn't worthy of a either a photo or a blog post. Slowly but surely we are getting there but, like everyone in Sydney, we're sick of the cold, rainy, windy days that make it feel more like winter than spring.

I wouldn't mind jetting off to this house, though, that's not only got the weather but a rather amazing pool and house design that looks rather resort-like.

The Fish House which is described as a 'modern tropical bungalow' - which downplays it somewhat, don't you think? - is in Singapore and was designed by Guz Architects.

I mean, check out the master bedroom ensuite - what views, what size!

Enjoy the weekend folks!

Hotel Eye Candy

Can you believe this is a hotel? Well, for that matter, how amazing would it be if it were someone's house!

It is the recently opened W Hotels Retreat & Spa on Vieques island, located off the southeast coast of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean whose interiors were done by the fabulous Spanish-born, Milan-based designer Patricia Urquiola. Yum, yum ...

Maldive Magic

Summer's over and it's raining here today. Boo hoo.
So I'd much rather imagine I was here, in the Maldives
in a beautiful timber villa right on the beach with a private pool

and gorgeous, sumptuous outdoor living area,

a to-die-for-bath - or should I say view from the bath

and elegant bathroom.
I think Alila Villas Hadahaa, the first luxury resort in the Gaafu Alifu (North Huvadhoo) Atoll in the Maldives’ new southern frontier, is the ultimate in beautiful design and has all the elements for a beautiful holiday. It was created by SCDA architects.
